Duties and Responsibilities
According to the Ministerial Regulation Organizing the Royal Irrigation Department (RID) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, B.E. 2557 (2014) published in Royal Gazette Volume 131 Section 88 (Kor) on 30 December B.E. 2557 (2014), the RID shall be responsible for developing water resources according to each river basin potentiality so as to allocate water to all types of users in sufficient, equitable and sustainable manners and to prevent and mitigate water hazards. Duties and responsibilities of the Office of Project Management shall be as follows:
(1) Studies, analysis, and planning of water resources development and irrigation at river basin level in accordance with policy and strategy of the Department;
(2) Implementation of studies to conduct feasibility study, environmental impact assessment, health impact assessment, and other impacts at river basin level, irrigation project and other projects of the Department;
(3) Analysis, monitoring and evaluation of environment effect to health and others including achievement of irrigation projects;
(4) Management of foreign projects and international cooperation on irrigation; and
(5) Implementing with or supporting performance of other relevant offices or assigned by the Department
